OUR VENUE
A permanent 10 x 30 metre marquee with clear walls offers panoramic views of the beautiful lake and surrounding hills. It sits on a concrete floor with a feature entrance of timber decking and festoon lights. Vast ornamental gardens wrap around the area.
Adjacent to the marquee we have created a rustic space we call 'The Log Lounge'. This area can be used for your guests to relax and mingle before the reception begins.
Inside the marquee is a dance floor for you to party as late into the night as you wish. Restrooms are conveniently positioned behind the marquee.
An expansive lawned area for camping with a large kitchen and alfresco dining area with custom made timber furniture, showers, toilets and huge fire pit mean your guests can stay in comfort. Allow us to create a whimsical village of our luxurious bell tents for you and your guests. Alternatively, guests can also supply their own tents, caravans, trailers etc.
We have now unveiled our new Bridal Studio, designed to offer the ultimate pre-wedding retreat. With three queen-sized beds, a kitchenette, elegant vanities, a spacious bathtub and shower, this studio is the perfect sanctuary for you and your bridal party. Spend the night in comfort and wake up refreshed, with your vanity stations just steps away, ensuring a stress-free start to your big day.
OUR STORY
From childhood, two young boys shared a dream—a vision of a family retreat, a place where they could run wild and free amidst the beauty of the great outdoors. Their search for the perfect location spanned years until they stumbled upon an advertisement that captured their imaginations: "Steep rugged hills and oceans of water." It was perfect.
Nestled within over 700 acres of private forests and rolling hills in the stunning Blackwood River Valley, this hideaway felt like a world where anything was possible.
In early 2012, surrounded by a core group of family and friends, the work began to turn dreams into reality. The transformation brought not only physical change but also created cherished memories that would last a lifetime. Linga Longa became a place of adventure and inspiration—a place no one ever wanted to leave.
The restoration of the old homestead cottage was the first major milestone, breathing life back into a space that had been untouched for over two decades. The land itself was reclaimed and rejuvenated: the dam was restructured, eventually blossoming into a tranquil lake, and the now-iconic gazebo was built as a serene center piece over the water. Hundreds of deciduous trees were lovingly planted, expansive lawns were prepared cultivated, and a vision for the property's future began to take shape.
One of the most ambitious dreams was the creation of a premiere mountain bike park. What began as a few handmade trails for private use has since grown into Western Australia's Premier Private Mountain Bike Park, a testament to the “work hard, dream big” ethos that defines Linga Longa.
A turning point came in 2017, when the youngest of the two boys married his sweetheart at the gazebo. This joyful occasion heralded a new chapter—the beginning of Linga Longa as a cherished wedding venue, where couples could celebrate their love surrounded by natural beauty.
At the heart of Linga Longa is a family whose deep connection to the land is evident in every corner of the estate. The two boys, now grown men with families of their own, continue to embrace their childhood dream. Their children, like they once did, now run wild and free in the great outdoors, creating new stories within this magical slice of earth.
Over the years, more and more people have discovered the magic of Linga Longa. Captivated by its charm, they too find themselves wanting to linger a little longer—a testament to the spirit and legacy of this extraordinary place.
